What this policy covers
This policy covers the MangoDisk desktop app and this website. It does not cover third-party websites or services that you choose to open from MangoDisk.
Data handled by the desktop app
MangoDisk scans the files and folders you choose on your device. File names, paths, scan results, and cleanup history stay on your device and are not uploaded by default.
The app may ask for system permission to read protected folders or remove selected items. These permissions are used only to provide the feature you requested.
When checking for updates, the app sends limited technical information such as a random installation ID, app version, operating system, and language. We use this information only to provide updates, understand version usage, and prevent abuse. It does not include your files, scan results, hardware serial number, or computer name.
Optional AI explanations
AI explanations never upload file contents, clean files, or change settings for you. Using AI is your choice.
To explain what an item does and how an action might affect it, the free service sends details such as its name, full path, and status through MangoDisk to the model provider. MangoDisk's servers do not store or process this information.
With a custom service, requests go directly to the service you configure. MangoDisk's servers do not receive or store those conversations; the service's own privacy and billing terms apply.
The free service uses a random installation ID and limited technical information to manage allowances and prevent abuse. It does not collect hardware serial numbers. You can switch services or stop using AI at any time.
Website visits
Service providers may process basic request information needed to deliver the website and keep it secure, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

We may use hosting, content delivery, and source-code hosting services to operate the website, provide updates, and maintain the open-source project. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
Your choices
You can manage or remove locally saved data in MangoDisk settings, or uninstall the app. If you have questions about information handled by the service, contact us using the details below.
